I know. It feels like this school year just started.

You’re still getting into the swing of your senior year. You’re probably in the middle of rehearsals or production meetings for your Fall show. You can’t stop posting pictures of leaves and scarves and pumpkin-flavored things. How can it possibly be getting into crunch time for your college apps?

Like it or not, crunch time is here.

Have you submitted any Early Decision apps yet? Get those squared away first. Check with your recommenders to be sure they have sent their letters, and be sure your school has sent your transcripts. Keep an eye on those online portals to see if your materials have been processed by your colleges.

Audition/Interview scheduling is never easy. As I talk about in my book, every school does it differently, so be sure you are double- and triple- checking the individual processes and requirements.

Speaking of auditioning and interviewing… actors, how are your monologues coming along? Designers, are you fine-tuning that portfolio? Have you submitted your prescreens where applicable?

But Halloween is just around the corner, Thanksgiving is following close behind, then the rest of the Winter Holiday Gang swoops in and next thing you know, it’s January and there is NO TIME LEFT.

Don’t find yourself scrambling because you coasted through Fall. Put down that PSL and get it done!
